Getting Off The Rack, 2018

The project is about mass production and trying to break away form the conventional.

Using `standard ´ shapes, similar to the paper packaging you would buy an apple plug or connector attached to, I relate to the mass consumption culture. But in addition some of the parts are added unique and attention-demanding stones, which have individually one of a kind made settings - wanting to be special and stand out.

The setting method is inspired by the way manufacture systems economize with materials and use easy production methods. The setting material is constructed only by using the `original´ sheet and in some cases attaching the stones by twisting goldthread around them.
